Ground Turkey Taco Salad Bowl Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

RICE:

3/4 Brown Rice

Small squeeze of fresh lime juice

Pinch of salt

GROUND TURKEY:

3/4 Pound of Ground Turkey (We use 93/7) 

2 Tablespoons of Taco Seasoning


​SALSA:

2 Cups of Quarter Sliced Cherry Tomatoes

¼ Cup of Onion 

1 Minced Jalapeno

2 Squeezes of Fresh Lime Juice

Pinch of Salt and Pepper


ADDITIONAL ITEMS:

1 12oz Can of Corn

¼ Cup of Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Chopped Lettuce


PREPARATION:

  1. Cook the rice according to the directions on the package you choose. 

  2. Add the Lime Juice and Salt to the water the rice is boiling in. 

  3. Cook the Ground Turkey on Medium Heat for about 10 minutes. Be sure to always check and make sure your meat products reach at least a core temperature of 165 degrees.

  4. Break the Ground Turkey up as you cook it and spread the taco seasoning periodically as it cooks. 

  5. After everything has been prepared you may now portion your meals. See meal plans for your portion sizes.
